Took inspiration from Peter Apian’s volvelles, one of which is on display in our current exhibition Liked & Shared.

Primary students saw the astronomical volvelle on display and then made a replica using the same method of construction with thread and glue.  With more modern materials they created another type of volvelle based on art, mathematics or phonics.
