For Maths Week, we had a fascinating talk on… how to do card tricks!

Magicians never reveal their tricks, but mathematicians do. David Conlon performed several mathematically-inspired magic tricks and revealed the secrets behind many of them.

David Conlon is a lecturer at the University of Oxford and a fellow of Wadham College, Oxford. He works in the field of combinatorics, but is also interested in the mathematics of magic, games and juggling.
