A Heart Marks the Page

We found a heart shaped bookmark inside a collection of Dutch pamphlets from the 1680s.  Isn’t it amazing that something so delicate managed to survive?

In the lead up to the 14th February, we have reproduced a few and left them in the Old Reading Room.  If you pop in for a visit, please take one home with you and give your heart page marker to a loved one or place it in a much loved book!
